To date, there hasn’t been a standardised platform to gauge the ground level status of these gyms and fitness centres, social clubs, academies, institutions with sports facilities and stadia across India through a comprehensive and certified audit system.. Globally, such assessments are commonly conducted by concerned industry associations or private entities. Hence, the Sports Assessment and Audit Board (SAAB), an initiative of the Confederation of Sports and Recreation Industry (CSRI), has introduced a pioneering certified audit system, utilising a star rating scale from 1 to 5. This system not only assesses sports complexes but also incorporates safety and hygiene parameters, ensuring a comprehensive sports ecosystem.
SAAB offers a variety of services including:
Our services are beneficial to Gyms and Fitness Centres, Social Clubs offering sports and recreational facilities, Institutions with Sports Facilities, Academies, Stadia, Gyms or Fitness Centres within Other Facilities: Located within hotels, community centres, clubs, multipurpose buildings, etc. In addition to above these services can be useful to sports organizations, event organisers, athletes, sponsors, and other stakeholders within the sports industry who are looking to improve their standards.
The purpose of our audits is to evaluate and understand the various compliance of sports organisations with relevant standards and regulations, identify areas of improvement, and ensure transparency and integrity within the sports sector.
It is recommended that sports organisations undergo an audit atleast once in two years to ensure ongoing compliance and to continuously improve their operations and performance.
Our audits typically cover financial management, governance structures, ethical practices, operational efficiency, risk management, and adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
After an assessment and audit of sports infrastructure, organizations will receive a comprehensive audit report, enhancing their branding and reputation. The certification and star rating provided can be used for marketing and promotional purposes. The audit report offers valuable insights into their facilities, highlighting areas for improvement. A better rating and certification gives organizations a competitive edge, helping to attract more customers by building trust and increasing their appeal. Additionally, there are numerous other benefits for organizations certified with a star rating, positioning them as industry leaders.
SAAB offers single certifications in evaluating areas such as Availability of Facilities, Quality of Facilities, Safety Measures in and around the Facilities, Location of the Complex, Cleanliness and Hygiene Measures, Qualification of Instructors and Coaches and staff, Compliance with Authorities, Certification from Regulatory Bodies and so on in addition to specialised certification of organisational excellence, ethical compliance, risk management, and operational efficiency. These certifications validate the commitment of sports organizations to maintaining high standards.
Organizations can apply for certification by contacting us through our website or customer service. Our team will guide you through the application process, requirements, and the evaluation procedure.
SAAB certifications are typically valid for two years, after which organizations must undergo a re-evaluation to maintain their certified status.
We offer a range of training programs including workshops on compliance, risk management, governance, ethical practices, and performance improvement strategies.
Our training and Assessment programs are open to a wide range of fitness and sports establishments and their representatives including: National Gym Chains, Individual Gyms and Fitness Centres, Social Clubs, Sports Academies, Institutions with Sports Facilities, Stadia, Gyms or Fitness Centres within Other Facilities like hotels, community centres, clubs, multipurpose buildings, etc.
